During the routine mainterance,we found that lubricant oil inside gear box leaked easily and caused the machine room slippery and dirty.As a result of our investigation,we believe that the oil leaks via the cap of gear box.Enclosed please find herewith the photos for your kind reference.
Since fibres are inserted into gear box cap for ventilation and pressure neutralization,we believe that:
1) the oil is squeezed when the inner gear is rotating;
2) warm and nebulized gear oil reaches the metal cap surface via the fibre and condense; the oil then accumulates on the cap for a period of time and leaks.
Since we could be charged with the said problem,please treat this matter serious and advise the countermeasures at the soonest.
