As for a student, grades played significant roles in my school time.it seems that people always have a desire to compare. So there is no doubt that grades are what people are competing.I prefer that grades have more positive effects than those of negative effects .because grades make ourselves more competitive and gain a sense of achievement and understand the happiness of study that knowledge is treasure which can fulfill the whole life.Moreover,grades indicate whether you understand the knowledge or not .
The key for person to be successful is not how knowledgably he or she is ,is that how competitive he or she is. Cause we are not born to successful,but we are evolved to be successful in the experience of competing with someone else.in other words,I took a summer training in TOEFL with another my classmate.my grades are not as high as his,i felt depressed and i don't think my abilities are not as good as him .So i started to work hard ,wish to catch up with him next time.when i saw him studying ,i immediately started to study.In the condition of competing,i found i was stimulated by others.just because this,i made a lot of progress.
Moreover,grades can give you a sense of achievement when you earn a very high score.as far as i am concerned,people like to compare,if you earn a very good grade in academic study,you will feel confident.for instance,my friend ,Jack,is getting 2300 in SAT.which is a astronautical number for me .He is much advanced than others.clearly,study is not a purpose for grades.but you can fulfill yourself in this process.the more you learned ,the more you fill you are not making progress just for grades.but for yourself.understanding the happiness from this.
Furthermore,grades are also the indicators that whether you are understandable of these knowledge.and when you have learned something new,it's necessary to quiz yourself.it can make you know how much percent you understand this concept.for example,i was always confident in my writing.thus i think i will get a very good mark in TOEFL writing.but things are not happened as I'm expected.after one exam,i got a relative low grade in writing.i don't why,and i asked my writing but it doesn't mean you are applying it fully.some points you just understand,but you are not learned fully.that's why you have a low grade.
From that moment,i began to test myself.and practice more.and after one month's improvement.I'm getting better in writing section.
To summarize,grades don't have many aspects as people think.in contrast,i inclined grades are having more positive effects.because we can't get over grades,so how about accepting these and make yourself more valuable in future ?
