请教一个英语语法的问题

ten-year-old 是一个复合形容词,修饰child
like that并不是如楼上所说,like that是一个方式状语,表示“以这种方式”,修饰全句.
please don't 可以单独成句,但是这两句要稍稍改写：
He is just a ten-year-old child.Please don't be so cruel （to him）.
