定语从句的类型还是很多的.主要是几种：对名词（人或物）定语从句；对地点的定语从句,和对时间的定语从句.
对名词的名定语从句,如果先行词是人,用who（或者that,但是现在倾向于少用that）,物体用that,非限定的的时候人用who或者whom,物体用which：
例如：The building that is located at the center of the town is the bell tower.(限定)
The book,which was written by Mo Yan,is now very popular.（非限定）
The man speaking on the stage is my father.(限定,修饰人)
The president,who had just received the Nobel Price,appeared at the meeting.
对地点的定语从句：This is the village where my parents spend all their lives.一般修饰地点的定语从句用where就可以.
对时间的定语从句用when:Those years were the time when we were passionate youngsters.
定语从句还有其他的形式,但是到高中应该掌握这些就可以了.
