Desmond Tutu, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984, once said, "Your family is God's gift to you, as you are to them." It tells us the deep meaning between our family and us. No matter how poor our family is, or how hard we struggle in our tough life, our family is always there, supporting us without hesitation.
Years ago, in my childhood, I fought with some bad boys and got badly hurt. When I got home, mom and dad felt shocked and then took me to the hospital. The operation cost them all they had. Luckily, my life was saved. Afterwars, dad went to talk with the bad boys' family and settled it down. Although he was only a poor farmer, shy with few words, he stood up for me in time of danger. I was deeply moved and encouraged. Since then, I have been braver and more confident.Dad loves me and often says every child is the family's pride.
My family is God's gift. I feel gateful to it and make up my mind to protect and cherish it.

I'm the pearl in my parents eyes. As a child, I was slow. Alghough struggling, I couldn't study well at school and fell far behind , often failing exams. So bitter was the feeling of being defeated that I thought of giving up. To encourage me, they told me to fill a glass with fast running water. Unexpectedly, I found however hard I tried, my glass was only half full. Only then did I realize what I needed to learn well were my devotion and right ways. With their help, I mastered the methods of learning and caught up with my classmates gradually. Now I have become a top student in my class, which has also become their pride and joy.
There is no doubt that both parents and we are of great impotance to each other. Let's be grateful and cherich it in our hearts!
