本设计从建筑的文化性和地域性出发,整个建筑有四个单元组成,以退台形式组合,象征“阶梯”.面积依次递减寓意“光阴流逝,不断减少”呼吁人们珍惜时间.
除此之外,建筑在立面处理上采用哈那形式格栅,即防止光直射,给内部空间增加光影效果,又使立面上增加了一丝民族气息.让整个建筑中现代元素和民族元素自然结合.建筑内部,中庭部分为主要交通空间,主要功能四周环绕,并将阅览室分层设置,使用方便,流线清晰,减少干扰.
