Li Yue,a 12-year-old ballet student who lost her leg in the May earthquake in Sichuan,ties red silk on a tank of an armored division of Chengdu Military Command in Sichuan Province on April 25,2009,to wish her rescuers well,according to the custom of Qiang ethnic minority.I am moved.She is now studying in her fifth year at a Beijing primary school and lives with her divorced mother in a rented apartment 200 meters from her school.They moved to Beijing one month after the earthquake for extended rehabilitation for Li's amputated leg,arranged by the China Disabled Persons' Federation.
The fragile girl drank almost a bottle of vinegar before the amputation surgery,and survived the agony with bravery and perseverance.She was the only survivor of her class.
