40（1）副词能作表语,介词则不可单独作表语,介词短语才能作表语.例如：
1）He was in just now．（in 副词）
2）The book is in the bag．（in 介词）
3）The new play is on．（on 副词）
4）These apples are on the table．（on 介词）
（2）介词后面跟宾语,但副词后无宾语.如：
1）Come along,please．（along 副词）
2）Tom is walking along this road．（along 介词）
3）Walk on．（on 副词）
4）The old man is getting on the bus．（on 介词）
（3）副词和介词同时出现,副词在前,介词在后.例如：
1）He began to catch up with the others．（up 副词；with 介词）
2） We get on very well with each other．（on 副词 ；with 介词）
3）He often goes out for a walk．（out 副词；for 介词）
（4）副词可放在“动词＋宾语”结构之后,也可放在此结构之间.如果宾
语是人称代词或it 时,副词只能置于此结构之后,而介词必须和动词一起构成
动词短语,后面跟宾语.例如：
1） Put your things away．或 Put away your things．（away 副词）
2）Did you write it down?（down 副词）
