通常我们写informal letter的时候,最后一句就写:hope to hear from you soon.

通常我们写informal letter的时候,最后一句就写:hope to hear from you soon.
可是网上有的人却写 I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
所以,我查了Longman 英文字典,字典也写 to hearing from you soon.
哪一个才是对的,为什么to 后面可以写hearing?能不能给一个解释?

因为这里looking forward to doing sth. 这里to 是介词,介词后要跟　doing　sth,
而hope to hear from you soon.　这里to 是连词,相当于and ,后面跟动词原型　hope to do sth.也可以理解为　hope 后接动词不定式,to do sth.
