DINK is a new phenomenon:today more and more couples are choosing not to have children.Compared to the "traditional" family struture,where man goes to work and woman stays at home to take care of children,many couples today both have a job,and decide not to have a child.
The reason that people choose not to have a child are different for different couples.Some couples like to enjoy life with each other instead of falling into the routine of taking care of kids everyday; Some might have financial considerations since the cost of child care is increasing such as education.Some would rather put their career in the first place before having children.
No matter what reason they choose to be child-free,they usually will face lots of presure from family and friends.Some people say that they are selfish and sometimes their parents are worried that nobody will "carry the family name".In my opinion,whether to have children or not is completely their own decision.People should respect their personal choice and be happy for them.After all we are living in a sociaty that is becoming more and more open.Diversity is one of most important characteristics for an open sociaty.Even you don't agree with their personal choice,you should say "we agree to disagree"
