1.hang是“悬挂”的意思,既可做及物动词,又可做不及物动词.这里它是不及物动词,用其主动形式表被动含义.这里的现在分词做定语,表达一种状态.英语中有个别动词,可用其主动形式表被动含义.类似还有sell.
2.首先date from是“始于.”,“从.开始算”的意思,这里的主语是these temples ,逻辑上有被动的关系.有“（因为）these temples 被从宋朝开始计算其年限.”的意思.故要用被动语态.
3.do you suggest与do you think不同,不能看做插入语.所以要用to
4.这里的faced with...是 when he was faced with ...的简略句,或者说是过去分词短语,做状语.因为the boy是“被困难对着的”,有被动关系.
