一句话里面的用词问题,
我在一本杂志上读到这一句话,
Naomi Watts' rise to fame woundn't be as smooth as Nicole kidman's,though. For 10 years,Watts acted in small films in Australia and Hollywood.
为什么要用 woundn't be 而不直接用 wasn't 意义上有不一样吗?

i remember when i was in junior middle school,an english teacher told us that "used to" is to say that you often did something in the past; and "would" will mean you often did something in the past and still do that at now or maybe future.
so,here,i think this may be explain why they use "would " here.
have a good time!
good luck
