1、TO Success: Opportunity or hard-working?
Every body wants to succeed. But when it comes to the question that which factor leads to success, opportunity or hard-work, different people will offer different answers.
Some people think that opportunity is the first factor leading to success. They hold the idea, as a proverb saying, “Man proposes, god disposes”. Because almost all successful people have good luck and have caught their valuable opportunities, they believe that opportunity is a leading condition of the success. If seizes and makes the best use of opportunity available, one can succeed surely. In summary, to them, chances and lucks play the most important role on the road to success.
However, others maintain that “no pains, no gains” .Without exerting oneself, one could never expect to achieve success in no matter what one is doing. As is known to all, there is no royal road to the summit of success. One is likely to succeed only when one has worked with whole-hearted devotion and perseverance. Those who are lazy, sloppy and indifferent to their work, those who never concentrate on work will definitely end in failure. On the whole, as far as they are concerned, hard-working is the decisive factor to success.
In my view, both hard work and opportunity eventually matters. They are inseparable from each other, and put together, they make a great success. Hard work is to luck what fish is to water, and can be seen as an interior precondition of success. It lays the corner-stone for building a house while luck serves to cement it, to make the building bricks adherent to one another. They are the twins that contribute to success together. They are the factors from within and without respectively. We must work hard, make efforts and get prepared. When opportunities come, meet and make full use of them. Only in this way can we succeed one day.

I remembered I used to fail on my vocabury test when I was in high school. I had problem to memorize new words which got lloose each day. I almost decided to give up English, but was obliged to one of my neighbour classmates who kept on sending small sheet for me. In the end of the semester, I found I had finished my vocabulary book which became a work force in reading English. I then realized that a new word came and left our brains for several times. Nobody is born as genius for success. Success tends to arrive after a serial of trials and failures.
Of course, success brings confidence and victory. But, life is not always easy and comfortable. There are more difficulties than eases in the real life. It is likely that we have to face some failures ahead. Therefore, those who learn how to deal and endure failures will taste their success eventually.

Therefore ,it is advisable that you should value and treat them with care. When an opportunity comes, it brings a promise but never realizes it on its own. In my opinion, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone in our society, but only those who are prepared adequately and qualified highly can make use of them to achieve their purpose.

In order to become successful, you should first of all be both perseverant and hardworking. As you know, whatever you do, there are always two possible results: success and failure. When you fail, you should never lose heart. On the contrary, you must build up your confidence and work even harder. You should always keep in mind that perseverance is the mother of success and industry is the key to it. In addition, you should pay great attention to your work method. It is necessary for you to sum up your experience constantly and improve the efficiency of your work. Finally, it is important for you to get along well with your co-workers, care for each other and help each other. If you follow these principles, you will certainly achieve remarkable success in the future.
In my opinion, success means achieving brilliant results in one’s work, that is, making outstanding contributions to the development of the country and bringing happiness to the people. Lin Zhenhua, a graduate of Hefei No. 1 Middle School, scored 671, the highest in the city for the college entrance examination of science students. He was enrolled in University of Science and Technology of China.
Lin was from an ordinary worker’s family. His parents are only junior middle school graduates. They seldom watch TV and often encourage him to join in the playing of the violin and practising Chinese calligraphy, which benefits him a great deal. Besides, he lives with his grandparents. The three generations are in harmony and that lays the foundauon for Lin Zhenhua’s success.
Another reason for his success is that he has a sense of responsiblhty in addition to an intelligent mind. Once his teacher, Mr. Zhang Keyun, accidentally broke his right arm. He insisted on giving the lecture turning over the book with his left hand. Lin was greatly moved. From this bo came to understand a teacher’s sense of responsibility and obligation.
There are two ways to listen to lectures. One is to take notes while listoning. The other is to listen only without taking notes. He writes down the main points in his notebook and reviews them after class or before a teat. Lin Zhenhua says" I never leave today’s work for tomorrow."Maybe that is his key to suecess.
