a.I would be there only by myself.我会全靠自己去那儿.by oneself ,不可能有 by some else的,所以这个only不合生活常识,纯自已加的.我的“全”其实应为completely “完全”靠自己.
b.I would be only there by myself.不知道所云.你自己翻译一下,说一下想表达什么意思吧.
其实上面的这个be改为动作动词go更好些.
c.I would be there only alone.
d.I would be only there alone.
这两句无法翻译.

a.I only stayed here for an hour.我（那天）在这儿只是呆了一个小时.强调的是stayed,不是danced 或worked ,但没有意义,因为后两者的实质也还是呆在这里,没去别处.所以生活中不太有这样的句子.
b.I stayed only here for an hour.我那天只在这儿呆了一个小时,（not there!)
c.I stayed here only for an hour.我那天在这儿只呆了一个小时.（最为常见,表示时间短）
d.I stayed here for only an hour.与上句意同.
e.I only stayed here alone for an hour.与一句没有本质区别,只不过是独处而已.

a.Petter only lives in New York alone.
b.Petter lives only in New York alone.
c.Petter only lives alone in New York.
没有only,Peter 独自一人在纽约生活.句子很好,没有only的位置.不知道你为什么要加这个only,还到处加.

其实合不合生活逻辑,你自己翻译一下就知道了.语言是相同的.人类的思维逻辑是差不多的.
