In the 1950s,direct selling came into existence first in America,then became famous all over the world.According to the statistics from the World Direct Selling Association,up to 2003,more than 100 countries in the world develops direct selling,and the total sales amount is as much as $60.9 billings.In China,however,due to the misunderstanding,special situation of our country and the incompletion of law,direct selling has caused troubles in different degrees,striking our normal social and economic system.In order to fulfill the promise about opening “selling without regular locus” to the WTO,and to lead and arrange the direct selling correctly,the State Department issued “Regulations on direct selling management” and “Regulations on forbidding multi-level marketing” and other related manage regulations in 2005.It indicates that direct selling formally become a part of the business field in our country.It is good for the industrial,commercial and executive management departments to learn about the developing history of direct selling and to analyze its intension and characters.
