英语 主语从句 单复数

问题1：为什么用there‘s而不是复数的there are?不是有a lot
-------当我们强调在某时/某地“存在”某人/某物的时候,最english的句型就是there is / are结构,尤其是在不涉及“某人/某物”does / has /did时.当a lot 做主语,後面没有of -- - 的时候,通常被认为是不可数名词,所以用 is做谓语.
问题2：如果前面用复数的话,后面的it是否需要改?改成什么?
it 形式主语,真正主语是that there's a lot to put up with when waiting tables,and fortunately,句子属於主语从句.在这里,it永远不能改变.
