the +单数名词 还是 复数名词,表示一类事物

the dog和the dogs都不表示一类,而分别表示：这/那只狗；这些/那些狗.表示一类是the加形容词,如：the poor：穷人；the blind：盲人
泛指时是不加the的,如：Dogs are our best friend.
