Good Bye
During the Second World War,the tiny country of Holland was conquered by Germany.The government-in-exile of Holland set up its headquarters in London.
The Premier of Holland,who had seldom gone abroad,could hardly speak English.So one day,when British Prime Minister Churchill met with him,he stretched out his hand and said warmly,“Good-bye!”
Smiling with pleasure,Churchill answered,“I really wish all political interviews were so brief and hitting the mark.”
