Since I was a child I akways wanted to be a policeman.I loved the idea of saving people,fighting crime and catching the bad guys.I bet a lot of the guys here had the same dream once,but then of course,you grow up and you realise the world isn't so black and white.Now,I've realised that my skills lie in (insert subject name) and since this is my strongest subject,I have decided to persue a career in this field.I think a job in (insert industry/company/place) would suit me best and the good news is,I think I would enjoy the work too.
I grew up in the city.All my life I have been surrounded by people - lots of friends,family memebers...and strangers.I couldn't imagine living in the country.What do people do there for fun?In the city you have so many choices,every where you go there are shops and places you can find entertainment.Of course,economically speaking,the city provides better jobs too.I would have to say that the advantages of living in the city outweigh the disadvantages in my mind.Although the country offers better air quality and more scenic views,that is something I would like to enjoy when I retire,not now.
I have a part-time job in a restaurant near my university.Although I don't enjoy it,the pay is low and the conditions are not great,sadly I have no choice but to continue.I want to learn to be independant from my family.Although my father has offered to give me money and buy me clothes on a regular basis,I think that that is no way for a person my age to live.By working part-time during my studies,I can learn much more about the real world by getting out there by myself and doing something for ME.
These days we take science and technology for granted.We EXPECT technology to improve,to entertain us better,to make things more convinient etc.and that's exactly what is happening.I couldn't imagine living without some of the things I have.Could you imagine not having a mobile phone?A computer with access to the internet?A TV with 100 channels?No,neither could I.And I don't want to either.
