析:第一句话说明了一个事实,布朗一家人已经到了.其实这句话也是一个干扰项,目的是让你填A.而后一句中的yesterday是引诱同学选C的.选D的同学会很少!
其实but 后面的这个并列分句=I didn't know sth.untill yesterday.我直到昨天才知道一件事.
什么事情呢?就是他们要来的这件事情.我们知道,表示“来”、“去”的位移动词,可以用进行时态表示将来,如:They are coming.他们要来了.而这里的they were coming.就相当于they would come.是指过去的将来.D项如改为would come,就有两个答案了.
