英语作文The highlights of my school year

You won’t spend all your time in the classroom.Developing interests,friendships and a social life is also very important so we offer lots of activities in Senior School for you to pursue1.Students can choose to perform in rock bands,go rock climbing,and win prizes for public speaking and dramatic performances.
We encourage everyone to take part in charitable2 activities to help both the local and wider communities.Some of our students are involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme,which offers them opportunities to help other people and also gives them a chance to go on expeditions.Travel is an important part of education in Senior School.We also send students overseas to help out in an orphanage3 established by a teacher of our school.
We provide the widest possible physical education program; we believe that every child is good at something and,with encouragement,can develop a lifelong love of exercise and sports.Consequently,alongside traditional team sports such as football and basketball,we offer more diverse4 activities such as dance and gymnastics.Our well-equipped campus has playing fields,tennis courts and heated indoor pools.Our school’s football ability is recognized throughout the North of England.
Performance arts are particularly strong in our school.Our drama centre and theatre has been a venue for many wonderful school performances.Music is also very popular in the school.The Music Department also has a lot of practice rooms,which are used by a variety of performers.We believe in you and your abilities and want to offer a broad and balanced education that will help you to make the most of your future.
