3D printing is a revolutionary technology that emerged in recent years.Its radically new idea of "additive manufacturing" is considered to be material-saving.However this technology is still far from perfect and people are deceived by its misleading advertisements,many downsides of such technology are hidden,things are oversimplified to convince people that 3D printing machines are absolutely economical and eco-friendly.
Firstly,compared to the electricity 3Dprinting consumes,sometimes the saved materials are not that important,forsuch printing machines are so much energy consuming.Moreover,there are many different types of 3D printing machine,some types of machine generate unrecyclable wastes,some others generate significant amount of wastes.
In addition to the environmental issues,this technology may cause some other problems.For instance if someone get digital blueprints of a gun,then he can produce it athome,this is dangerous and hard to regulate.
In conclusion,although 3D printing is a valuable technology,people still should be aware of its negative sides.
