过去给牛和其他动物的饲料都被存放在那儿.
这个句子同时也是个被动句：
去掉定语：for the cows and other animals
去掉状语：there
句子就剩下：the feed was kept
被动语态的句型格式是：受力者+be+动词过去分词.
你这里说的为什么be动词后面可以加过去式,其实这个kept不是过去式,而是过去分词,意思是：被存放的,已经存放的
动词的过去分词,有时候和动词过去式拼写一样,但是意义是不一样的.
A is made of B. A 是用B做成的.（看得见原材料）
比如：The desk is made of wood. 桌子是用木头做成的.
A is made from B. A是由B做成的.（无法直接判断出原材料）.
比如：the paper is made from wood.
