Friday,10 july 1942
Whenwearrived at Prinsengracht,we went quickly upstairs and into the hiding place.We closed the door behind us and we were alone .Margot had come faster on her bicycle and was already waiting for us.All the rooms were full of boxes.They lay on the floor and the beds.The little room was filled with bedclothes.We had to start clearing up at once,if we wished to sleep in comfortable beds that night.Mummy and Margot were were not able to help .They were tried and lay down on their beds.But daddy and l,the two "helpers" of the family started at once.
The whole day we unpacked the boxes,filled the cupboards and tidied,until we were extremely tired.We did sleep in clean beds that night.We hadn't had any warm food to eat all day,but we did't care.Mummy and Margot were too tired and worried to eat,and Daddy and i were too busy.

当我们到达王子运河,急忙上楼到了藏身之处.我们把门关上,屋里边只有我们.玛戈特骑着自行车走得比我们快,她已经在屋里等着我们.所有的房间都堆满了箱子,地板上和床上都是.有个小房间里塞满了床单.如果我们晚上想睡上舒服的床,就不得不开始清理.但是妈妈和玛戈特帮不上忙,她们太累了,躺在床上休息.但是爸爸和我,家里的两个助手立刻开始了清理.
一整天,我们都在开箱子,把东西放进橱柜并进行整理,直到我们实在太累了.那晚我们的确睡在了干净的床上.我一整天都没有吃上一口热饭,但是我们不在乎.妈妈和玛戈特太累又太担心,根本吃不下饭,而我和爸爸则是太忙了.
