How should we Chinese treat Christmas? Christmas as the traditional Western festival, is gradually gaining popularity in China. Now it doesn't matter wherever you go, you can spot Christmas card, Santa claus and reindeer. Many people suggests the government should put restriction on Christmas since it is threatening our traditional culture, it is the "invasion of foreign culture" Personally I disagree with this opinion. If you travel abroad, we can tell how much Chinese culture impacted on western society, our traditional medicine, our martial art and poetry. Without communication and conflict, our culture won't improve. The thing really matters is we should absorb the merits of foreign culture and discard the harmful parts like violence and pornography. I truly have faith on Chinese culture, so I strongly suggest we should treat Christmas with normal attitude, neither indulging nor rejecting.
