wait在这儿是名词,是等候,或等待时间的意思,less than是固定词组,少于的意思,后边接名词(其实我很不喜欢以语法的方式解答英语,这样一辈子也学不好,特别对初学者).举例：
in less than an hour 不到一小时
I won`t sell it for less than $50. 少于50元我不卖.
