personally i watch FRIENDS every day
I encourage my English students here in China to watch English language movies.It sure as hell takes away the boredom of listening to audio taps and cd's to learn a language.Plus it makes it enjoyable to them.Any tool to teach is fine with me.
I don't care about any negative affect,they are going to get that no matter what.We can't protect people from stuff that is already out there.But one thing that is their saving grace,in China,family is everything.That is where the foundation of good moral behavior really lays,not with withholding content from them that they will see anyway.
