Shahekou District Offered Multiple Measures for Undergraduate Self-employment
This year, Shahekou District will input 10 million Yuan as support to the self-employment of undergraduates. In 2005, Shahekou District founded the special free fund for the self-employment of undergraduates as the first nationwide, listed the support to self-employment of undergraduates into the government¡¯s key work agenda, offered the free support to self-employment of undergraduates and granted the self-employment fund ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 Yuan for free to projects passing the assessment.
For four years, Shahekou District Government has contributed 5.94 million Yuan and supported 155 undergraduates in self-employment, corresponding to which the figures are: the companies established by 155 undergraduates had the registered capitals of were 26.22 million Yuan and the operating income of 24.577 million Yuan, accomplished the tax income of 1.052 million Yuan, arranged 404 undergraduates in employment and accepted 76 unemployed persons. Currently, among 155 undergraduate self-employment projects, 147 are in normal operation, accounting for 94% of total. Those companies established by undergraduates involve in nine trades namely computer network, production and processing, computer software development and hardware application, advertising media, consultation service, catering, medical care and commerce. The person-in-charge concerned of Shahekou District expressed that the pioneering passion and innovation spirit of undergraduates are worthy of the government¡¯s input. At the beginning of last year, Shahekou District Government further increased the input, provided a 1000-odd-m2 office building, built up Shahekou District Undergraduate Pioneering Park and offered the pioneering place for free for 25 undergraduates.
Facing to the severe situation of undergraduate employment this year, Shahekou District Government intensified the support of free self-employment fund on the basis of three million Yuan in previous years, set up a free self-employment fund of 10 million Yuan and built a new 5000m2 Undergraduate High-tech Pioneering Park to encourage and support more undergraduates for self-employment. It also planned to set up and solicit pioneering projects in the Undergraduate Pioneering Park, invite experts to assess the pioneering projects and offer the undergraduates and the unemployed, who have a with for self-employment, pioneering project link-up, opening instruction, pioneering project training, small loan service, pioneering project drawing and handling agency service, legal aid service and project follow-up services. The newly built Undergraduate Pioneering Park is capable of 100 undergraduate pioneering projects and over 500 undergraduates for employment.
