错误记忆是人类的记忆中存在着的较为普遍的扭曲现象,当人们回忆出的事件与真实情况完全不同,或者人们回忆出从未发生过的事件,就产生了错误记忆.以往的错误记忆研究都是集中在如何引发错误记忆上,对于如何有效的减少错误记忆的研究相对较少.基于此,本研究采用经典的DRM范式,通过两个实验对如何减少错误记忆进行了初步探讨.实验一和二考察了在测试阶段提示被试关于正确记忆和错误记忆在现象体验上的差异能否有效的降低错误记忆.实验二考察了有无反馈对于错误记忆的影响.
实验结果如下：
（1）在测试阶段告知被试正确记忆对于词语呈现的声音印象,词语在词表中的位置和个体听到该词时的反应（如想法、情绪）三个方面的主观体验比错误记忆生动、深刻,被试可以有效的利用这些诊断性特征去区分已学项目和关键诱饵,进而降低对关键诱饵的错误记忆比率.
（2）只提示被试正确记忆和错误记忆在声音记忆的现象体验上存在差异,就足以使得被试利用关键诱饵和已学项目在声音记忆上的深刻性和生动性的不同来有效的区分正确记忆和错误记忆,进而降低对关键诱饵的错误记忆比率.
（3）相对于没有接受反馈的被试,反馈组被试回忆出的关键诱饵更少,并且能纠正之前的错误回忆,总体上有效的降低错误记忆.
由此可知,提供给个体关于正确记忆和错误记忆的元记忆知识,或者对个体的元记忆知识进行反馈能有效的降低错误记忆.本研究结果为进一步理解错误记忆的本质规律和生成机制提供了新的证据,并对如何避免和减少错误记忆、提高记忆效率具有一定的实际应用价值.
