we live in the mountain area,Denver area just on the eastern side of the mountain,there are many famous ski areas in the mountains.love to go camping,but not feel convenient,since I were contact lens,a very short vision person.I do not drink and smoke,really hate smoking and smell,and could not drink,a bottle of beer could make my face really red.and do not own any guns.but in US,the gun culture is hard to be understood by outside,I feel the US refile association has too much influence on the congress,and the society does need take gun control action now,but due to the legal issue,hard to change the constitution,"people have right to own weapons",but to use force to overthrow the bad government?it is just on papers.actually the western areas in US do not have many green lands,most desert or semi desert areas (like Nevada state,only has some cities like Las Vegas),no much watering here,but overall,the society still try very hard to keep/reserve the nature lands,keep them as they were.the small park near home is good place to walk,and many ducks/geese in winter time,protected by law.people can go hunting here,need a license to kill (very specific,like a license to hunt one animal,dear or elk),need buy permit,from hundreds dollar to thousands (to kill a bear).I like to go fishing,$26 a year for the permit,but no much lucks.and I have a small fish tank in home,buy some small golden fishes to put there,but they are easy to die,so after some tries,I gave up.
