My Pet ----Buddy
As an animal lover,I have had many pets,but my favorite one is my dog.I remember very clearly the day we bought him.I had just come home from school and my mom announced that we were finally going to get a dog.I was so happy because I had waited a long time for this day.
Our whole family drove to the pet shop together.“It’s so cute!” I couldn’t help saying.In front of me sat a small puppy.He had big round eyes and a wet nose.I bent down to pet him.The puppy’s light yellow fur was so soft and smooth.“Mom,we have to take him home,” I pleaded.My parents saw how much I liked the dog,so they agreed to let me have it.I had already thought of a name for him — Buddy.
Every day I feed my dog after I eat dinner.After proper exercise and food,Buddy is now big and strong.
On the weekends we usually take Buddy to the beach.He likes swimming there.Once,he swam so far that we couldn’t keep him in sight.We shouted his name loudly but still he didn’t come back.After 10 minutes or so he swam back with his tail wagging happily.
When I come home from school,Buddy always runs down the stairs to greet me.He usually jumps up and licks my face.I remember one day it was raining heavily outside.As always,Buddy came down.He took my umbrella from my hands and ran upstairs with it.In a flash,he came down again to take my coat up.Like that,he helped me carry most of my stuff upstairs.
Buddy is very musical.Every time I play the piano,he lies at my feet.If I play well,he lies on his back with his legs in the air as if he is enjoying the music.If I don’t play well,he sniffs and looks at me from the corner of his eye while going onto the front porch.
Buddy is like a brother to me.He has brought us lots of happiness and laughter.
