再问： 啊？有点奇怪吧。我是在国外教科书上看到的题目。例如f(x)=x2-36,它先要你求出零点为x＝6,－6，然后就问determine the multiplicity of each zero. 答案是odd multiplicity. 我不理解。
再答： 那就应该不是这个意思了，是这个意思： Let f(x) be a polynomial function. Then, if f is graphed on a Cartesian coordinate system, its graph will cross the x-axis at real zeros of odd multiplicity and will touch but not cross the x-axis at real zeros of even multiplicity. In addition, if f(x) has a zero with a multiplicity greater than 1, the graph will be tangent to the x-axis, in other words it will have slope 0 there. （从维基百科上找的） 中文意思应该是重根的意思吧 如果是odd，就表示没有重根，而有不同的根， 如果是even，就表示有重根 所以答案才会是odd multiplicity
