第一个侧重的是抢劫,第2个是真正意思上的偷
steal意为“偷”,指暗中窃取别人的东西,其宾语是物,而不是被盗者本人.其常用结构是: steal +something +from +somebody or somewhere.如:
He stole much money from the shop but was caught soon after. 他偷了那家商店很多钱但不久后被抓住了.
rob意为“抢”,指用暴力夺取别人的东西,其宾语总是人（被劫者）或某一机构（地方）,而不被劫走的物.其结构是: rob +somebody or somewhere +of +something.如:
The police have caught the man who robbed a woman of a lot of money last month. 警察已抓住了上个月抢一位妇女很多钱的那个人.
The thief stole the purse from her. She ran after him, but she didn’t catch up with him.
An enemy soldier robbed her of her purse, and pushed her down fiercely.
