The embryonic stem cell at the beginning is the starter of life.The totipotent cell undergoes mitosis and turns into many other pluripotent cells.These pluripotent cells can then differentiate into the cells of many other tissues,such as cardiovascular cells,renal cells,and many other types of cells.The cells need to be differentiated to perform different tasks,take stomach cells for example,they have the most mitochondria among cells in the human body,mainly for the processing of energy.When environment is favourable,a totipotent stem cell can evolve into a whole organism.
