Emission of green house gases from various domestic and industrial sources is one of the
major contributors towards global warming and climatic changes. This has significant and at-times irreversible effect on the environment. Many methodologies have been developed to sequester carbon dioxide. Apart from the natural sequestration, carbon dioxide can be sequestered artificially by absorption into amine-based solvents, gas separation membranes and cryogenics as mentioned by National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Department of Energy of United States (USDOE) (NETL USDOE, 2005). However, implementing these technologies may be costly.
