The similairities and the differences between the Spring Fes

*Similairities:
a) Both are biggest festivals in east and west.
b) Most of governments in the world give long holidays for people to enjoy the festival.
c) Most of people would like to celebrate the festival with their families during the holidays, which causes the traffic very tight, especially in China.
d) Both in east and in west, children love the festivals most.
e) Most of people would like to buy lots of food to eat, and things to decorate their houses and public area for celeration.
*Differences:
1) Spring Festival is originally popular among Chinese people, but Chistmas is originally popular among people in western countries, where Christianism prevail.
2) Spring Festival is to celebrate the beginning of a new year in lunar calendar, but Christmas is to memorize the birth of Jesus.
3) Spring Festival is begun on the first day of Spring in lunar calendar, but Chirstmas Day is 25th of December of each year.
