I just cannot tell you how sorry I was to learn that you had to go to the hospital.Your family tells me that you are progressing nicely ,and that you will be out of the hospital in about ten days.I am certainly relieved to konw that.

ps:一般这种慰问信都是属于公务信函,要比较严肃和正式,所以,不要有缩写和简写,一定要注意用词准确,行文简洁.另外,书信开头的称呼,英式英语称呼后用逗号,美式英语称呼后用冒号,如果你是写作文的话,看有没有特殊的规定,没有的话建议用逗号,因为个人认为英式英语更正式一点.
