1.What are the differences between the Heights and Creighton House?
The Heights are a family with disorder and secrets. It lacks the warmth and sense of belonging that Creighton seems to pocess. Both are big houses with reknown reputations, however the Creightons is what we call a real family where siblings have close relationships, while the Heights are just people with blood ties living together showing no empathy for each other.
2.Do you think Catherine should be exited when she meets Heathcliff again?
Catherine would meet up with Heathcliff with mixed feelings. Of course she would be excited, since she continuously stressed out before that Heathcliff is her one and only love. She was significantly crushed when Heathcliff left without a word, leaving her behind facing everything by herself. It is obvious that Catherine wants Heathcliff to return, but not without doubts. She broke Heathcliff's heart with her words of discrimination. Catherine knows Heathcliff too well, he is not back to reconcile with her, he is back for the other R word: revenge. Catherine should know that Heathcliff will certainly destroy everything that she owns, including her husband. Thus her reaction upon Heathcliff's return should be that of excitment and fear mingled.
3.Isabella runs away with Heathcliff. Do they love each other? Shoud we be sympathetic with Isabella?
Isabella has a puppy love for Heathcliff. She feels attracted towards the Heathcliff that she knows. She thinks he is intriguing and can show her all the fun in the outside world. Heathcliff, on the other hand, cares only for Catherine whom he loves yet hates. The only reason that he seduced Isabella is because she is the sister of Lincoln, tha man who stole Catherine away. Heathcliff is taking revenge and grudge on Lincoln's sister to make her suffer and hurt him indirectly. Yes, we should be sympathetic with Isabella because as we read on, we will discover that not only Heathcliff does not like her at all he tend to be abusive towards her, and even caused her to die a young age. It is not unsiuitable to say that Heathcliff destroyed Isabella's happiness.
