1..An Oviparous One（卵生的）
Yesterday my classmates and I had a heated debate.We debated on"How did the president come into the world".Tom said"Got out from his mom's stomach!"Jane disagreeded.Jane said"His parents made!""NO!" Peter shouted excitedly,"People made!",suddenly,Peter was focused on by every one.Every student showed the respect to Peter.Peter prided on this and couldn't help shouting "Yeah!".But,a voice came out very slowly from a corner,"The president is an oviparous one.".Everybody laughed,and Peter didn't know what to say.
昨天我和同学们举行了激烈的讨论.我们讨论了关于“总统如何来到世上?”.汤姆说：“从她妈妈的肚子里来的!”.简不同意,简说：“他父母生的才对!”“不!”彼得激动地大喊“是人们选出来的!”霎时间,所有的目光都在彼得身上,每个学生的眼里都流露着赞赏.彼得对此十分自豪并且忍不住叫了一声（以表开心）.但是,一个声音慢慢从角落里传来,“总统是卵生的.”大家都笑了,彼得无语了.
*2.Who to Choose?（选择谁?）
It was really a funny thing.It was in summer days.When I was walking near a river,I heard "Help!"in a despairing voice.I got close very quickly.I was shocked:There were two men fell into the river!One of them was tall,has got red hair,and seemed to be strong.The other man is a famous writer,I knew him,he was called Mint.G.They both wanted me to pull them out of the runshing water.It was at this moment I could not choose who to save.I got very worried.Soon an old woman appeared by my side,she told me to save Mint.G.I did it.After this I saved the other man,too.At last,I asked the old woman"Why did you choose Mint.G to save first?",she smiled,"Kid,the depth of water is 1.4 meters,we should see it.".At first I was puzzled,the next minute I realized.And I smiled,too.
这真的很有趣.那是在夏天.当我在一条河边漫步时候,我听到有人绝望地喊着“救命!”.我很快靠近.我十分惊讶：有两个男人落到了水里!他们中的一个很高,红头发,看起来很强壮.另外一个男人则是一个作家,我知道他,他被称作“敏特·G”.他们想要我将他们拉出这急湍.正是在此时此刻,我不知选择先救谁.我十分着急.很快一个年迈的女人到了在我边上,她告诉我先救敏特·G,我照她说的做了.之后我又拉起了另外一个人.最后,我问那位女人“为什么要先救敏特·G?”她微笑,“孩子,水的深度是1.4米啊!我们应该看到这件事.”一开始我很疑惑,但是下一分钟我就意识到了.我也微笑了.
注释：这个故事对于低龄儿童可能比较难懂,里面涵盖了独特美式调侃幽默,读懂其中笑点可能需要对文化有一些接触.主要讲的是让自己陷入能力不及的事情时候,会得到他人的援助——因为此时的愚蠢格外显眼.
