　　Abstract:
　　When mentioned Chengdu of Sichuan,most people will think of spicy Sichuan cuisine and hot pot.Therefore Sichuan cuisine can be a most representative symbol of Chengdu.On February 24th in 2009,the Ministry of Commerce sent a letter to Department of Commerce of Sichuan Province (commerce and trade letter [2009] #2),agreeing with Chengdu’s declaration of joining the alliance of creative cities of UNSECO – tasty city.
　　Chengdu is now in the process of applying for the food city.Accompanying the acceleration of global integration and confronted with the challenges of various food culture,local catering companies of Chengdu is groping forward with the opportunity of industrialization of catering industry.This paper will analyze and puts forward some suggestions and opinions on how to develop local food and make a catering business card of far-reaching influence.
