We regret to inform you that as we suspected the last shipment of 10,000kgs of XXXX on PO #C-11055 received on March 1,2007 (which was already in transit) encountered a similar problem as the previous shipment but was an improvement over the previous.Of the 10 lots received 5 lots (1203,1204,1205,1206 & 1210) contained foreign matter and were rejected by QC.The remaining 5 lots (1201,1202,1207,1208 & 1209) were release by QC/QA.
We believe we will be able to resolve the problem internally by filtration upon use if our Customer agrees to this procedure.Upon the Customers approval we anticipate releasing the remaining 5 lots on exception.Should the situation change we will keep you informed.
You will receive a formal Supplier Complaint Notification upon my return from vacation on April 10.
We hope the corrective actions taken after the first complaint have resolved the problem and the current pending shipment (C-11079) due to arrive on site tomorrow arrives free of foreign matter.
