It was a late night on Wednesday; I stayed in hospital because I had a terrible fever at the degree of 40.My physician took good care of me all the time.Although I was unconsciousness,I still remembered that he gave me a body temperature every five minutes,then fed me medicines and gave me the shots.Unfortunately,my sickness was getting worse and worse,and I nearly fainted.I faintly heard that dean was coming and he wanted to send me to the emergency room.Later,I was totally unconsciousness.My grandma told me that my physician rejected sending me to the emergency room because I was too little and I would be very painful to be inserted so many pipes.Hearing this,the dean was so angry that he gave my physician a slap in the face and said angrily,“Since you are so excellent,come and deal it!” My physician came and sat next to me silently,said to the dean in a responsible tone,” The kid is my patient,I have the duty to cure his disease,you needn’t tell me how to do.” Then the dean went out and found my family,suggested them sending me to the intensive care unit and gave me the treatment.Later,they came up with a good idea to solve the problem---sent me to the intensive care unit first,and then gave me the treatment if my sickness got worse.My physician went to the intensive care unit as soon as I was sent there.He sat next to me,held my hands and tried every way to bring down my fever.I knew he didn’t want to pique the dean so he tried his best to take good care of me.The most important reason why he cared me so much was that I was his patient.My physician kept giving me a body temperature every five minutes in the intensive care unit.Due to his carful nursing,both my illness and the high fever were better and I was sent to the general ward from the intensive care unit.Finally,I was pulled back from the edge of death and the stubborn dean was moved by the physician’s circumspection.
The physician’s circumspection and responsibility to the patient are out of my imagination.For his patient,the physician can quarrel with his higher-up,even disobey him.This matter happened seven years ago,but I remember it very clearly,as if it happened yesterday.When I left the hospital,the physician’s smiling face was imprinted on my mind forever.
