The moment I began the touch of English,I had made up my mind that I would be a translator.The major I chose was English.I believe a good translator is someone who has a comprehensive knowledge of both source and target languages.
The first step is extensive reading of different translations of different kinds of texts.Besides,writing is in fact the main job of a translator.Editing and punctuation improve the quality and readability of the translation.

I have already depraved for a long time.I have no mood to study English.But do you still remember what you are expecting to achieve in 2010?You want to be proficent in English,including oral ,written,and reading abilities.So keep learning English everyday,Mr.Tan!As for the Chinese literature,I don't need be good at it,I just need reading some famous literature to to take recreation.Of course,it is so great if I can be good at Chinese writing because I want to translate some English essays or humour into Chinese and send them to newspapers and magazine.
Now I have to make a schedule to make what I want to achieve clearly.First,I will do my best to raise my English level completely and to improve my Chinese expression technique before 2011.And then,from Jan.1st,2011,I will try my best to translate some English essays and submit the manuscripts to news agencies no matter what the result is.I have to keep doing so and I want to be competent for a written translator in 2020.
